This course covers intermediate and advanced skills including:
1)Leash walking with environmental distractions
2)Sit and Down with Duration and Distance (Stay)
3) Polite Greetings
4) Off Leash skills
5)Safe entry and exits from cars and buildings
6) Cued and Automatic Leave it
7) Setting your dog up for success in challenging environments
8) Enrichment and Confidence Building

Prerequisite: Puppy Essentials 1, or instructor approval.

Mondays 5:30-6:30 pm. Eight weeks: 4/13-6/1

In this course, we will build the foundations for great communication between you and your puppy. Understand the world from your dog's point of view while teaching her the basic skills needed to be a successful family member.

Course Gear:

While specific equipment choices may vary, we recommend having the following for your pup during class:

  • Regular collar: This will be used for identification purposes.
  • Front-attachment harness: This can help with teaching loose leash walking and redirecting pulling behavior.
  • 6-foot leash: This is a standard length that allows for both control and freedom for your pup during walks.
  • Pea-sized soft treats: Small, bite-sized treats are easier for puppies to chew and swallow quickly, keeping them focused on the training session.

      Doggie Do Good Beginner Obedience-Clicker Style

      This course uses scientifically proven clicker training and free shaping to teach your dog all the basics plus other fun, useful behaviors. You'll learn how to become a benevolent leader to manage and prevent unwanted behaviors, all while building a bond of trust and respect with your dog.

      This is an especially great class for:
