In this course, we will build the foundations for great communication between you and your puppy. Understand the world from your dog's point of view while teaching her the basic skills needed to be a successful family member.

Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 pm. Six weeks: 8/26-10/14

This class will strengthen communication and understanding between you and your dog. It will focus on learning life skills that form the building blocks for behavior. These skills will set you and your puppy up for a life of mutual respect and communication. The class will heavily focus on using Pattern Games to equip our dogs (and ourselves) for all the distractions the world provides. Additional topics covered are stationing, targeting, learning to relax in the presence of other dogs, teaching a reliable recall, and how to establish comfort with grooming/vet visits. We will also discuss how to effectively socialize your puppy using a deliberate, focused, method. All dogs will have their own working stations. Who is this class for? This class is great for over-excited pups, shy pups, or as a preventive tool for reactivity. 

Puppies up to 1 year old (other ages accepted based on availability in class and instructor approval). No previous training experience is needed. 

Thursdays, 7:45-8:30 pm.  Eight weeks: 7/30-9/17

Tuesdays 4-5pm. Six weeks: 10/13-11/17

*NO DOGS FIRST CLASS*

This class is appropriate for puppies 8 weeks to 4 months of age. This class starts the important process of socialization and training using positive methods. Topics covered will be sitting for petting, down and come when called. Weekly behavioral discussions will include house training and crate training. Please bring your dog to class on a buckle collar and a six foot nylon or leather leash. No chain or retractable leashes allowed. Bring to class a bag of small, soft, easily eaten training treats for your dog. For best results bring small pieces of cheese or meat. 8 weeks. Class size is limited.

Tuesdays, 5:00-5:30 pm.  6 weeks: 6/16-7/21
